Something Happening Here
This series of abstract paintings is my attempt to make sense of the world unfolding around me. “Something Happening Here” explores the impact of censorship, political interference, and suppression on our culture. It reflects my growing awareness of how essential critical free expression is in this rapidly changing moment.
Artistic expression is a vital pillar of freedom in a democracy. In times of uncertainty, my work becomes a way to hold onto a moral center. Each painting in the series is inspired by a song from the protest movements of the 1960s, drawing a connection between past and present struggles for voice and truth.
